When I received this message from Anita that she has sent her video for “My life, My Yoga” competition, my joys knew no bounds. I vividly remember, Anita was diagnosed stage 3 breast cancer and successfully treated by our team 7 years back. I personally know how she went through the hardships of a long tiresome journey of surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and hormonal therapy. She surpassed not only her physical issues but also the emotional roller coaster very courageously. She accepted the fact and decided to beat cancer. She was always two steps ahead of cancer. I must say, she is a true fighter. The resilience she demonstrated is simply great. She marched her victory with staunch self-belief, steadfast faith, never-ending hope, and everlasting trust on us.
I still cherish the sumptuous lunch, when she invited me as a token of appreciation. She has penned down her thoughts and feelings in a “Thank You” letter which she handed me a few days back during follow up. She specifically mentioned how her lifestyle changes, diet, physical exercise, meditation, and Yoga has helped her as an integrative therapy.
And here is she, the breast cancer winner, participating in National Yoga Competition.
Bravo Anita… You are really a living role model in today’s world. Your life is an “everyday inspiration” for all of us. Anita, you made us proud!!! In gratitude, always…
